Finding Malara's Italian Restaurant can be a challenge, but once you have spotted our secluded location, you'll think of it as your secret hideaway. We are located in a quiet residential area in Omaha, where we have been providing delicious, authentic Italian cuisine for over 30 years.

Caterina Malara is a native of Italy who came to Omaha from Argentina in the mid-1960s. In 1984, she opened her restaurant as a carryout business in the west end of the former home of Rotella's Bakery.

Since then, we have expanded 3 times.

Today, we offer full-service dining for up to 150, plus carryout, catering, and a party lounge that can accommodate up to 30 guests.

Even though our restaurant has grown, our menu features the same favorites it has always included.

Caterina Malara, Carmen Rotella, Maria Szablowski, Gracie Benak, and Anna Ruzicka specialize in homemade Italian cuisine that's made the way our family has made it for generations.
